We invite you to sit back relax and join us on this exciting sightseeing tour along the dramatic landscape on The Road to The Isles. This Highland Mini Tour lasts for seven hours, or it can be extended to a Full Day Tour.
Your Private Guided Tour begins when we collect you from your desired location in or around Fort William or Oban.
On departing Fort William we travel the shoreline of Loch Eil to the beauty spot of Glenfinnan, this is where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised his standard and commemorated by The Glenfinnan Monument, you will have time to climb the viewpoint for a stunning view down Loch Shiel, we will then walk to the Glenfinnan Viaduct where we will then watch The Jacobite Steam Train crossing over the world famous Harry Potter Bridge.
Glenfinnan also plays a significant role in the Outlander story.
We then journey further along The Road to The Isles admiring the ever changing dramatic landscape, as we tour past Loch Eilt we will see Eilean Na Moine the small Island that was used in The Harry Potter Movie as Dumbledores final resting place. On arrival into Mallaig there will be some time to admire the views across to The Isle of Skye and The Islands of Rum & Eigg. You will also have the opportunity to visit The Harry Potter Shop, Haggard Alley where you can purchase wizardly wonders. After having a spot of lunch (Fish n Chips recommended) you will then board your optional Wildlife cruise.
We then depart Mallaig and take the coastal route viewing Loch Morar, Scotland’s deepest fresh water Loch and The Silver Sands of Morar famed in Blockbuster Movies such as Rob Roy & Highlander.
On arrival back to Fort William we will stop at Neptunes Staircase on The Caledonian Canal where weather permitting we can see Ben Nevis and maybe a boat or two navigating through the locks. We then visit Old Inverlochy Castle Ruins and we conclude the tour with a stunning drive through Glen Nevis famed in Braveheart.
